GEN

The band was formed as "N.O.S." in 2003, when James Dyer joins the group founded by Javier Alfaro and José Luis de la Riva.

With this name they begin writing their first songs, mostly on the Punk/Metal genre. These were recorded in the demo "Versión 0.0".

The next year, after having written five songs, they decide to broaden their musical horizon toward Hard Rock. By mid 2004 they had ten new songs.

By the end of 2005 the band changes their name to "GEN", when they decide to leave the Punk/Metal behind and focus on Hard Rock.

On January 2006 they start recording the "Génesis" demo at GMartell studios.

Later that summer Jose Luis leaves GEN.

The demo is finished on October, as well as the official website: www.gen-music.com.

On February 2007, after a long and exhaustive search, Richard joins GEN as bass player. All that year they look for places to promote their music and play, ranging from private parties and battles of bands, to public events at CCH's and Vocas.

On 2008 GEN begins reaching a lot of their goals. They are signed by CRP on March and they start the digital distribution of the band's demos. With the assistance of their label, GEN begins recording the album "Génesis", which was finished on July.

Later that year they begin the digital distribution of the songs and prepare for the official launch on November 15.
